Chiesa di Sant’Antonio di Cellevane
Chiesa di Sant’Antonio di Cellevane
In the heart of Zeddiani stands the Church of the Vergine delle Grazie, also known as the Church of St Anthony of Padua. This building embodies the essential beauty of Sardinian Romanesque architecture, with a simplicity that accentuates its charm. Its construction probably dates back to the first half of the 13th century, with an original single-nave structure and an oriented apse. In spite of the modifications it has undergone over the centuries, the building retains important historical elements, among which the bell gable and the ceramic basin accommodation on the façade stand out, tangible evidence of its medieval past and its evolution over time.
