Chiesa di San Ciriaco

Chiesa di San Ciriaco

Before their destruction by a devastating flood of the Tirso river in 1917, in the area of the rural church there were small lodgings (muristenes, or cumbessias) that housed monks or pilgrims in medieval times. The first historical record of the church dates back to 1282, which certifies its construction in an earlier period (it refers to an ancient rural settlement that has now disappeared). The current appearance of the church dates back to the 18th century. The building has a rectangular hall with two side chapels forming a pseudo transept. The roof of the hall, recently built, is made of wood.
